Eligibility

  • Students from 10th standard onwards
  • Courses covered: Engineering, Architecture, Medical, Diploma/Degree/PG, Professional Courses, Pharmacy
  • Economically weaker students from the Maheshwari community
  • Residents of Maharashtra
Scholarship Amount (Yearly – up to 5 years)
10th, 11th, 12th & 1st Year Graduation ₹15,000
Undergraduate/Postgraduate ₹20,000
Engineering/Architecture/Medical ₹25,000 – ₹30,000

This scholarship program is a focused initiative to support deserving students from the Maheshwari community who are pursuing engineering education at recognized colleges within Pune District. By easing financial constraints, the program aims to enable continuity in education and empower students to build strong, self-reliant futures.

Program Details

  • Eligibility: Engineering students from Second Year onwards
  • Financial Support: Assistance of up to 90% of the annual college fees
  • Selection Process: Transparent application process followed by two rounds of interview
  • Verification: Mandatory verification of all submitted documents

In collaboration with the Abhay Bhutada Foundation, proudly presents the Abhay Bhutada Scholarship Program — a meaningful initiative dedicated to nurturing talent and supporting education within MVPM hostels and the wider Maheshwari community across Maharashtra. Inspired by the vision of Shri Abhay Bhutada, an accomplished alumnus of MVPM, this scholarship reflects a heartfelt commitment to giving back to the institution that shaped his journey.

The program supports students under two categories: • Meritorious students, recognising academic excellence and • Needy students, ensuring financial constraints do not hinder educational aspirations. This initiative aims to empower deserving students to pursue their academic goals with confidence and create a brighter future.

The fellowship encourages young individuals to pursue their passion in sports, arts, culture, vocational skills, or other life-enriching activities beyond academics.

Program Details

  • Financial assistance of up to ₹25,000 per annum.
  • Eligibility: Maheshwari students aged 13–22 years
  • Facilitate knowledge exchange, networking, and resource sharing across borders.
  • Selection through a transparent application process, followed by an interview
  • The program helps students build confidence, manage stress, and develop essential life skills, enabling them to experience balance, joy, and long-term personal growth.

A Community Initiative for Self-Reliance

The Ramkumarji Rathi Swavalamban Scheme empowers deserving Maheshwari youth who face educational or financial limitations. Through structured skill training, mentoring, and complete residential support, the scheme enables young men and women to build independent and sustainable livelihoods.

Guided by MVPM and supported by families, donors, and mentors, this initiative nurtures self-reliance and opens pathways to a stronger future.

Outreach across Maharashtra to reach deserving families. Careful identification and family counseling before admission. Residential support through MVPM hostels. Customized education and skill-training plans. Continuous mentoring by experienced guides. Industry exposure, internships, and employment support. Assistance for jobs or self-employment.

What the Program Celebrates

Eligibility

• Applicant must belong to the Maheshwari community.

• Age between 18 and 25 years.

• Economically disadvantaged and deprived of educational opportunities.

• Minimum educational qualification is not mandatory.

• This scheme is not applicable for professional courses such as CA, LLB, Medical, or MBA.

• Skill-based vocational training

UPSC & MPSC Preparation

  • Fully equipped study centre (study stations, internet, computers)
  • Conference room for discussions, counselling, guest lectures, and seminars
  • Library with UPSC/MPSC – relevant books and newspaper subscriptions
  • Regular interaction with serving and retired government officers
  • Graduates aspiring for Civil Services
  • Selection based on interview and academic performance
  • Interviews conducted by serving or retired government officers
  • Dedicated accommodation and food at MVPM hostels
  • Prelims: Monthly support up to ₹7,500 for 24 months
  • Mains: One-time assistance up to ₹40,000
  • Interview: One-time assistance up to ₹35,000
