Recognising the invaluable contribution of educators, Maheshwari Vidya Pracharak Mandal (MVPM), Pune, proudly institutes the MVPM Mahesh Shiksha Ratna – Global Educators Awards—a prestigious annual initiative dedicated to celebrating exceptional educators from the Maheshwari community across the world. As MVPM approaches its centenary of service in education and youth empowerment, these awards reaffirm its enduring commitment to educational excellence and nation-building. For nearly 100 years, MVPM has empowered students through schools, hostels, scholarships, mentoring, skill development, and value-based education. Building on this rich legacy, the Mahesh Shiksha Ratna Awards honour educators whose dedication, innovation, leadership, mentorship, and community service have transformed the lives of students and strengthened society.
A Global Platform for Educational Excellence
The awards are open to eligible Maheshwari educators serving in India and abroad across government, aided, private, and other recognised educational institutions. They recognise excellence across diverse educational domains, including academic teaching, arts and cultural education, sports coaching, vocational and skill development, and extension and community engagement.
Awards are presented annually in the following categories:
- Primary & Middle Education Excellence Award – ₹1,00,000
- Secondary & Senior Secondary Education Excellence Award – ₹1,00,000
- College & Higher Education Excellence Award – ₹1,00,000
Each awardee also receives a prestigious Citation, Trophy/Plaque, and recognition through MVPM's publications and digital platforms.
Transparent, Merit-Based Recognition
The awards follow a structured, transparent, and merit-based evaluation process conducted by an independent jury comprising eminent educationists, academic leaders, and subject experts. Applications are assessed on measurable student impact, innovation in teaching, value-based education, professional achievements, leadership, community contribution, academic qualifications, and vision for the future of education. Nominations are accepted through self-nomination, peer recommendation, institutional recommendation, and direct nomination.
More Than an Award
The MVPM Mahesh Shiksha Ratna – Global Educators Awards are envisioned as a long-term movement to recognise excellence, encourage innovation, foster collaboration, and build a vibrant global network of Maheshwari educators. Presented annually around end of September, MVPM Foundation Day, the awards ceremony also features an Education Leadership Conclave, where awardees and distinguished educationists share best practices, innovative ideas, and insights on the future of education, creating a lasting repository of educational excellence.
